On 27, 28 and 29 June with another edition of Sitges Vela Clàssica, the classic sail boat regatta, with period boats and a traditional spirit organised by Port de Sitges and the Club Nàutic Port de Sitges.

Now regarded as one of the essential events on the classic sailing calendar in Catalonia, the Sitges Vela Clàssica combines nautical competition, aesthetic elegance and sailing culture in a peerless setting: the open bay of Port Sitges-Aiguadolç, with Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla church as the backdrop and the Mediterranean as the main stage.

Legendary boats featured at Sitges

For three days, a fleet of around twenty historical boats and traditional sail boats will ply the coasts of Sitges, offering a unique show both at sea and on land. The confirmed participants include boats with unique histories that have marked an era.

These vessels, classified into different categories according to their age and type of sails, represent the best of Europe’s sailing heritage, and their mere presence in the Port de Sitges prompts admiration and excitement among fans and experts alike.

The sports village: the heart of life on land

The regatta takes place not only at sea. During the event, the Port de Sitges will host a sports village especially designed to become a meeting point for crews, visitors, professionals in the sector and sea lovers.
